Evens
Privacy
Last updated 18 August 2026.
Evens is a free app for sharing household chores. It is run by one person, it has no advertising, and it does not sell anything — including your data.
What is stored
- Your account. Email address and name, held by our authentication provider, Clerk. Evens itself stores only the identifier Clerk gives us, plus the display name you choose.
- Your household. Its name, its invite code, and who is in it.
- Your chores. Titles, notes, effort weights, due dates, and a record of who completed what and when.
What is not
No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, no location data, and no third-party trackers of any kind. Nothing is shared with anyone outside your household.
Who can see it
Everyone in your household can see the household's chores and the fairness ledger — that is the entire point of the app, and it is worth being clear that completing a chore is visible to the people you live with.
Where it lives
Data is stored in a Postgres database hosted by Neon, and the app runs on Vercel. Authentication is handled by Clerk. Those three companies process data on our behalf and nobody else does.
Children
Evens is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. Accounts require an email address and are intended for adults.
Deleting it
Email the address on the support page and your account and everything attached to it will be deleted. No forms, no retention period.
